Getting started
Finding the right start
01What ages do you coach?
NXTGEN welcomes young footballers aged 4–13. Our Ballerz, Open, Girls Only and Advanced pathways provide different environments for each player’s age, experience and ambition.
02Does my child need previous football experience?
No. We coach players of all abilities. Ballerz builds early confidence and movement, Open supports broad player development, Girls Only offers an inclusive girls’ environment, and Advanced is available on enquiry for players ready for a higher-intensity programme.
03How do I choose a programme?
Start with the age guidance and programme descriptions on the homepage. If you are unsure, send a trial request and the coaching team will help place your child in the most suitable environment.
04Can my child try a session before joining?
Yes. Use the Join NXTGEN form to choose a programme, see its available venues and request a trial. The team will confirm the right session with you.

Sessions & venues
Training week
01Where do sessions take place?
NXTGEN runs sessions at selected venues across the North East. Visit Locations for the current venue list. Not every programme runs at every venue, so the join form only shows suitable options for your chosen programme.
02How do I find available days and times?
Select a programme and venue on the join form to see the regular timetable where sessions are scheduled. Times can change during school holidays, and the team confirms the final details before your trial.
03What happens if a session is full?
You can join the waiting list. When a place becomes available, the next family in the queue is offered the space and receives a confirmation.
04What happens if NXTGEN cancels a session?
Pay As You Play bookings are transferred to another suitable session or refunded in full. Monthly membership continues; if an unusual number of sessions are cancelled, NXTGEN may apply a goodwill credit.
03
Membership & payments
Simple, clear pricing
01How much does NXTGEN cost?
Monthly membership starts at £30 per player. Girls Only is £60 per month, Pay As You Play is £35 per session, and Advanced places are available on enquiry.
02What does monthly membership include?
Membership gives a player access to eligible sessions for their programme, subject to venue availability and capacity. The team will confirm which sessions are suitable.
03Can I pay for one session without a membership?
Yes. Eligible sessions can be booked for £35 through Pay for a session or through the parent portal. Availability is shown before payment.
04How do I cancel a membership?
Cancel through the parent portal or contact the team at least 30 days before your next billing date. Your child can attend until the final paid period ends. A month is not part-refunded once it has begun.
05Are Pay As You Play bookings refundable?
They are non-refundable, including for non-attendance. If you cannot attend, contact the team; a transfer may be offered as a goodwill gesture where possible, but it is not guaranteed. Read the full payments and refunds policy.

Family support
Your account & player care
01What can I do in the parent portal?
Parents can view family and player details, manage memberships and payments, book eligible sessions, follow development reports, receive academy updates and manage notification preferences.
02How do app notifications work?
Install the NXTGEN app from the website prompt, then enable notifications in the parent portal. Alerts can include session changes, waiting-list offers, payment updates and academy news. You remain in control of topics and quiet hours.
03How do referral rewards work?
A parent can share their unique referral link from the portal. When the invited family joins and completes their first successful membership payment, the new family receives the current first-month discount and the referring family receives the same discount from their next month. The current default is 10%.
04Who should I contact if I need help?
Use the contact page for session, membership or partnership enquiries. For billing questions, include the family name and payment date so the team can locate the right record quickly.
05
Safety & safeguarding
Children come first
01How does NXTGEN keep children safe?
Safeguarding takes priority at every session. Staff working with children hold enhanced DBS checks, complete safeguarding and first-aid training, and follow clear conduct and reporting procedures.
02How do I raise a safeguarding concern?
Tell a coach or contact the academy through the safeguarding details on our Safeguarding page. If a child is in immediate danger, call 999.
03How are photos and videos handled?
Photos and video are taken only where consent has been given and are never published alongside a child’s full name, school or location. A parent or guardian can withdraw consent at any time.
04What information should I share before a session?
Please provide accurate emergency contacts and tell NXTGEN about relevant medical needs, allergies, accessibility requirements or collection arrangements. This helps coaches support your child safely.
